The Court of History

The Court of History explores the themes of transitional justice, individual responsibility, fair trials, and the rule of law. At its heart lies a fundamental question: How can a society, after decades of serious and widespread human rights violations, break the cycle of retaliation and revenge and turn the pursuit of justice into a pathway toward the rule of law?

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Jamshid Barzegar (director and journalist), Saeid Dehghan (producer and human rights lawyer), and Mohammad Olyaeifar (actor and legal expert).

The discussion will go beyond the film itself, addressing transitional justice and the future of the rule of law and democracy in Iran.
