Woman. Life. Freedom.
Woman* Life Freedom Munich Association was founded in Munich in 2023 against the background of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and in response to decades of systematic oppression, persecution, killings, and executions by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The murder of Jina Mahsa Amini, a young Kurdish woman, in September 2022 became a turning point and sparked a broad wave of solidarity in Iran and around the world.

Our activities
In Munich, we work to introduce the human-rights situation in Iran to the public and to give a voice to people fighting for freedom and justice. Our association organizes and supports rallies, demonstrations, public-information and cultural programmes, talks, panel discussions, and educational programmes. Through these activities, we raise awareness of the situation in Iran, keep the memory of victims alive, and create space for dialogue and social solidarity.
Our position
Our activities and criticism are not directed against any religion or its followers, nor against people because of their nationality or background. They are directed against political repression, state violence, and human-rights violations. We support a society in which religion and government are separate and every person can freely decide about their life, beliefs, and future.
